Ecstatic eagles, vagabonds! We’ve returned with excellent news from our partners at Alchemy! It’s time, vagabonds! Time for you to access your new VTT!
Alchemy VTT
We are delighted to say that Alchemy has sent over the exciting codes for your VTT games of Root: the RPG & Root: Ruins & Expeditions! Grab your vagabonds and head on over to Alchemy to check out the entire virtual tabletop suite.
The Alchemy VTT has everything you need to play Root: the RPG online with your friends. With robust character sheets and a cinematic gaming experience, we’re sure you’ll come to enjoy all Alchemy has to offer. We’ve sent codes to your Digital Downloads on Backerkit so you can access your VTT today!
Redemption Instructions
- Create or sign in to your Alchemy account at https://app.alchemyrpg.com
- Navigate to the Marketplace (shop icon) on the left navigation bar of the homepage
- Click the REDEEM CODE button in the top-right
- Paste or type your redemption code into the boxes and click the REDEEM button
- On the following page, click the CLAIM button
- Navigate to your Library (books icon) to see your content

VTT Update

Cannibalistic cats, vagabonds! It’s been a wonderful journey together, and now that all of your games are delivered, there’s just one outstanding thing: the VTT. So let’s chat about it!
Alchemy VTT
We have some good news and some less good news, but no bad news. We have sent all of the files required to Alchemy VTT. This includes not only the core book of Root: the RPG, but also this new expansion, Root: Ruins & Expeditions. It’s a lot of information for them to work through and put on their system.
Now that said, Alchemy is behind schedule right now. They have a lot going on and dozens of games they’re working on to release on their platform. We know that Root is one of their top priorities, but it’s going to take some time for them to get through their backlog and get to Root. They haven’t given us a specific timeline. As soon as they let give us updates, we’ll be communicating those with you.
This means we may have sparing updates until Alchemy lets us know that the VTT is ready for you. But don’t worry, we aren’t forgetting. We coordinate for updates with Alchemy monthly.
Claims Period
For anyone who still hasn’t received their game or any shipping information, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. The claims period for this project is a year from when shipping began, which would be March of 2026. Anyone who hasn’t received their pledge has until March 2027 to report an issue and file a claim. After this time, claims will no longer be accepted.

Shipping Is Done!
Good news, vagabonds! Shipping is complete!
Everyone who filled out their Backerkit before the deadline should have received their package or at least shipping information by now (or be in contact with us already). We have also processed anyone who has filled out their Backerkit since we’ve started shipping, exclusive of this week. We’re so excited that everyone should have their packages and are able to enjoy the new amazing dice as well as the ruins rules!
If you haven’t received shipping information or your package by now, please be sure to check your Backerkit for the shipping information. If there has been no movement on your shipping information for 10 days, please report an issue by emailing us.
Now that shipping is complete, there are a few things folks should know regarding lost packages, late surveys, and other potential pain points!
After May 8th, it will no longer be possible to fill out your Backerkit. This is to prevent someone from filling it out and us not receiving a notification. If you haven’t filled out your Backerkit by May 8th EOD, you will need to email us to get your pledge fulfilled.
If you have received a damaged package, the package has been lost in the mail, or you never received shipping information despite having your Backerkit killed out, please report an issue.
All backers will have until February 2027 to claim their pledge if they have forgotten to do so. After that time, the claims period will be closed.

Shipping Continues!
We are thrilled to say several shipping regions are complete! We are working on the last few regions, but have updates for everyone:
USA: Shipping has completed! If you haven’t received a shipping notification, please email us at [email protected]!
Canada: Shipping has completed! If you haven’t received a shipping notification, please email us at [email protected]!
UK/EU: Our distributor in the EU/UK is currently confirming the VAT paperwork and then will start sending packages out. This should begin by next week at the latest!
Australia: Shipping is done! If you haven’t received a shipping notification, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it!
Rest of World & APOs: Shipping should begin by next week at the latest!
Retailers: Orders are beginning to ship this week!

Faction Expansion Dice Issue
We are so grateful for everyone who reported the issue with the new faction expansion dice. If you haven’t looked at your dice yet, the faction expansion dice have their faction symbols on the 1 instead of the 6, as the original faction dice do. This was a production error and we’re deeply sorry for the mistake. We know how important dice are to a game and how much many of you love dice. We’re going to do our best to fix the issue.
After speaking with our manufacturer, we are doing a reprint of the dice and offer them for free to any backer who wants them. As you may know from the production schedule of this Kickstarter, making new dice and then shipping them to us will take potentially several months with several uncertainties due to the shifting global climate. We won’t have a firm timeline on when those dice will arrive, but once we do we will let you know.
For anyone who wants the corrected dice once they arrive, we are happy to send you a brand new set for free so your new and old faction dice can match. You will not need to return the incorrect dice. Unfortunately, due to the massive rise in shipping costs, we will still need to charge a small but discounted shipping fee that will vary depending on region.
Once we’re closer to knowing the production schedule, we’ll release a form for you to get your new dice! Thanks for your patience!

Bumptious bluejays, vagabonds! Tis the shipping time and we’re excited to give you an update on where everything is!
Shipping Has Begun!
That’s right, vagabonds! Shipping has begun! Here’s an update for each region so you know what’s going on. Recent changes to tariffs have cause customs to take a bit longer than expected bringing some of our shipments into the country. As always, we appreciate your patience!
USA: All of our product is currently in customs. Customs is moving slower than normal, which is why shipping has been delayed. Once it clears customs, which should be soon, shipping will begin. Shipping should start before the end of March.
Canada: Our shipment to Canada has been stuck at customs and also hit multiple delays due to issues with the rail. Our partner in Canada is ready to begin shipping as soon as they receive and inventory the product. Shipping should start before the end of March.
UK/EU: Much like Canada and the USA, the product has been stuck at customs for longer than normal. It’s still at customs but as soon as it gets through, our partner in the EU is ready to begin shipping. This should start before the end of March.
Australia: Shipping is done! If you haven’t received a shipping notification, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it!
Rest of World: We are waiting on our shipment to clear customs, which is taking longer than normal, before we can ship packages out. Shipping should begin before the end of March.
